Ashley Schmidt supports the career initiatives in her role as the Career Facilitator. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Development & Strategies. While in this role she has facilitated an ongoing, cross-district partnership to host a Virtual Career Expo, redesigned the high school's Student of the Semester program to include business professionals speaking to the value of employability skills, lead the high school in attaining 100+ artifacts during the PA Remake Learning Days for the past two years, and currently serves as a member of the PA Career Ready Coalition. Before stepping into this role she taught career and business classes, developed the school's Job Shadow program, and maintained a nine-year career exploration and mock interview program with B. Braun Medical. She has presented at both the local and state-level on Business Partnerships and Employability Skills. She seeks to understand the challenges faced by businesses when working with schools and develop flexible programs that can benefit the students, school district, and businesses.
