Hi, I’m Ashley Rae Sims. I'm a Special Education Teacher with K-12 mild to moderate certificate. I also am a media professional with diverse experience in developing multimedia content for digital and online formats who also specializes in establishing audience engagement through great storytelling, search engine optimization, and effective digital/online communication. Expert in promoting publications by utilizing social media outlets. I am experienced in Word Press Website Design. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications concentrated in Electronic Media from the University of Michigan. Completed a Master’s of Arts degree in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University in June 2013. I am currently pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts in Liberal Arts-Film and Media Studies. I was a freelance journalist covering political and community engagement. I have received professional training during my time at Comcast Television where I interned. I then became assistant producer at Comcast for Prep Ticket, a show the showcased high school sports in Metro Detroit Area. I also worked at Detroit Public Television through an internship working for shows such as Am I Right? and American Black Journal.
