About Ashley Stone

As a designer, maker, creative thinker, and listener, I'm passionate about creating informed design solutions based on empathy. Helping brands craft their story or product excites me. I'm a question-asker— confident and competitive, but coachable and eager to learn. I always welcome critique that makes my work better. In projects so far, I've enjoyed creating a 66 page publication with a group, an original typeface, 2 websites, 3 brand identities and 1 packaging design, as well as helping brand a real $2 million RFP campaign. I believe success is in the process and that extensive research and brainstorming are the most important first steps of good design. I have a fond appreciation of pencil and paper for all the list-making, sketching and word-mapping. One of my favorite parts of design is how it often connects the most unrelated realms together into a meaningful solution. I'm thankful for agency and in-house design experience as well as over 5 years of entrepreneurial experience in painting, design, and wedding photography. Above all traits, genuine kindness is the most important to me. I see design as part of my calling to serve people, because after all, life is about the people. Play is also crucial in both my creative work and life. Find me dabbling in all things outdoors, cooking new recipes for entertaining, and painting en plein air.
