Background

About Ashley Stump

I am a current bank teller with National Bank of Blacksburg. I love working with the public. My skills include but not limited to customer service, money handling, opening accounts for clients, weekly report management, and daily bank operations. My previous position was with Giles County Sheriff's office, where I served as a 911 dispatcher and shift supervisor. I worked directly with the courts entering warrants and capias into VCNCIC. I also worked as a fill-in for our civil process officer. I entered all other servable documents from the courts into our database to define funding. I worked closely with the jails setting up extraditions and sometimes going with the officers to extradite the prisoners. I learned majority of management skills from this position. I oversaw dispatchers on shift, third partied warrants and protective orders to ensure accuracy, made decisions on emergent calls, and reviewed all of the dispatchers reports on calls. I strive to have a positive attitude with everything I do. I am an optimistic and believe I can do anything I put my mind to. I am set to graduate spring of 2023 from New River Community College with a degree in Business Management. I have also just been promoted by National Bank to IRA coordinator over 24 branches, and I am currently in training to take over this position.
