Saludos! Greetings! I’m Ashley Valerius, a seasoned educator and consultant with a focus on bilingual learning and multilingual learner success. I have years of experience working in the K-12 system as well as leading short and long-term educator trainings. Knowledge is Power: From students to fellow educators, sharing knowledge is the mindset that drives my work. It is through learning often that we can created success inside and outside the classroom. 🤝Collaboration is Key: Both with students and fellow educators, working together is an essential part of my philosophy. We can all learn from one another to create success and new learning. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒Family advocate: Beyond the classroom, I believe students and their families being part of the school community is essential to their success. Empowering families to share their culture and language is an asset to the community as well. Beyond the resume: I lived for four years in Monterrey, Mexico and adopted the language and culture as my own. Spanish is my home language.
