About Ashlin Penn

Hello! I recently earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Media Production, an Associate's Degree in Strategic Communication and a PA certification from the Oklahoma Film+TV Academy. I have been involved in photography and videography for 10 years and it is a huge passion of mine. I started taking photos for fun and it evolved into founding an A/V club at my high school and continued honing my craft during my Undergrad. While at Cameron University, I gained valuable experience in pursuing my career. I was a Resident Assistant, Student Worker for the Athletic Department, and active participant in both our Broadcast News and Print News. Additionally, I worked as an intern at a local news station where I got my foot in the door in the industry. Upon graduation, I attended The Oklahoma TV+Film Academy where I earned a PA Set Ready Certification. From that experience, I landed a role at deadCenter Film Festival. After moving back to the Houston Area, I began working at the Houston Improv Comedy Theatre as a sound tech, working with comedians both local and those on national tour. I am currently working as the Theatrical Technical Coordinator at McMahon Memorial Auditorium for the City of Lawton in Southwest Oklahoma.
