About Ashlyn Mitchell

I’m an adaptable and resourceful professional with a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Mary's University, where I majored in Finance and minored in Psychology. My education has shaped my ability to approach challenges with both analytical precision and an understanding of human behavior. In 2023, I joined Scotiabank's Commercial Accelerate Program, where I gained hands-on experience across commercial banking. Through rotations in Midmarket Distribution, nCino Migration, and Global Risk Management, I developed a strong foundation in the financial services industry. Currently, I work as a Credit Solutions Associate with the Atlantic Commercial team. I thrive in collaborative environments and believe that open communication and teamwork are key to success. My ability to prioritize and stay organized allows me to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and handle high-pressure situations with ease. In addition to my professional achievements, I’m proud to be an active member of the Atlantic Women’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) at Scotiabank. As part of this group, I contribute to the monthly newsletter by sharing a book recommendation with fellow members, combining my love for reading with my passion for fostering community and supporting personal growth. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, doing puzzles and knitting sweaters, these activities that help me unwind and show my creativity.
