About Ashlyn Stevens

My current experience with the Federal Emergency Management Agency has allowed me to perform project validation to ensure recovery operations to support State, Territorial, Tribal, and local governments during presidential disaster declarations for Public Assistance grants totaling over $113 million to communities recovering from disasters. During the COVID-19 pandemic, my experience at the North Texas Food Bank allowed me to develop and execute the Mobile Pantry’s COVID-19 Direct Disaster Response Program that provided life-saving and sustaining food to insecure families and communities while driving the organization’s strategy, resulting in exceeding the organization’s meal distribution goal 5 years early. I also have extensive experience in formal and informal public education during my time at Dallas College North Lake Campus as a biology lab instructor and at the Dallas Zoo as a Conservation Interpretive Guide.
