16+ years of battle bruised, industry grade exp in developing embedded software for audio and video systems. 10+ years of exp in audio solutions on Qualcomm SOCs-Innate understanding of all the layers of audio stack(app, Middle-ware, Linux ALSA drivers, firmware and -audio hardware device drivers) with intimate focus on audio frameworks & middleware-Designed and implemented fundamental audio features like Low Power Audio(Compressed offload), High Fidelity audio, which made its way into billions of Qualcomm snapdragon powered devices-Worked on a range of products: android based mobiles, linux enabled IoT products like smart speakers, connected cameras, Media Boxes etc-Worked with a range of tech companies ranging from giants like Facebook, BOSE, Samsung to smaller firms like Xiaomi, HTC etc. 4+ years of experience in video solutions on Qualcomm socs -Developed video drivers for Qualcomm SOCs, Developed video middle-are for Android and erstwhile Qualcomm Brew OS. 3+ exp at Philips, developing software for their DVD recorders. 12+ years of exp in leading teams. Very good at coordinating cross functional teams, multi site execution. Currently leading an audio IoT development team of 7 engineers focused on audio solutions for smart speaker, Connected Cameras & Media products.
