I am a Manager involved in Maritime regulations, technology, guidance, and advocacy work. I coordinate BIMCO’s initiatives on a variety of technical, operational and regulation related matters and represents BIMCO at meetings held at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) to name a few. Background as a Master Mariner and a marine assurance professional. Performed a wide range of roles from being in command of a ship and a Dynamic Positioning vessel in harsh weather conditions, managing and operating a Very Large Gas carrier to budgeting, planning, assessing vessels for industry-specific inspections such as SIRE, CDI with a keen eye on risk management and market suitability. I believe in three important things. Continuous improvement - This is what separates us, humans, from animals. Not improving is a sin. Take calculated risks - A ship has to venture out into the ocean to face its fears but it must always do so by staying sea-worthy. Work as a team and help others - A team is only as strong as the weakest link. Help that weak link grow stronger. United we stand, divided we fall!
