I am Ashok Sumad, a passionate Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer with 25 years of detailed design experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, Refineries and Petrochemicals projects.(Includes Project Management Experience of 10 years in lead role). Throughout my career, i have had the privilege of working on international Oil & Gas, LNG, Refinery projects. These experiences not only honed my design engineering skills, but they have also fueled my drive to become a good team leader in Instrumentation design field. What truly excites me is working with multilingual teams on Greenfield and Brownfield projects. Proficient in sizing of Flow devices, Thermowells, Control Valves, Relief devices. Competent in carrying out detail engineering of Control Systems (DCS, ESD/SIS, F&G), MCMS etc. Design exposure on FAT, SAT, 3D Model Reviews, Wireless Instrumentation, Reset philosophy, MOS philosophy, Serial interface. Executed Revamp, Debottlenecking projects, Oil & Gas, Refinery Upstream, Downstream projects. Demonstrated core strength in handling packages like Compressors, Fired Heaters (BMS), HRSG, Auxiliary Boilers, Pumps, Refrigeration Package etc. with strong interface acumen on vendor supplied package PLC’s. Multidisciplinary coordination, Site Engineering Support, Progress Reviews, KOMs to deliver the best solution to meet product design. Familiar with SIL study (Exida ExSILentia® software), HAZOP study and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA). Knowledge of International Codes & Standards like AGA, IEC, API, ASME, ASTM, BS, IEC, ISO, NACE, NFPA.
