About Ashraf Moosa

I am an intercalated MBChB student at the University of Cape Town with a robust background in neuroscience and physiology, complemented by a BMedSc Hons degree. As co-founder of WiZmed, I drive initiatives to make high-quality medical equipment accessible and affordable. My journey includes pioneering Africa’s first stethoscope distributor to offer in-house laser engraving and launching an acclaimed line of medical scrubs. In addition to my entrepreneurial ventures, I have honed skills in website development, product design, customer service, marketing, logistics, and project management. My commitment to innovation is further demonstrated through my work with the Western Cape Department of Health, where I helped develop digital health platforms to enhance user experience and streamline workflows. Earlier in my career, as co-founder of WiZedu, I led efforts to provide online academic support during the COVID-19 pandemic, reinforcing my belief in the power of technology to drive positive change. I am passionate about merging healthcare with technology to advance patient-centered care and operational excellence, and I welcome new challenges and opportunities that align with my professional and academic aspirations.
