Fellow and Chartered Civil Engineer, with over 20 years experience in design, construction, technical assurance and maintenance of bridge works and tunnels. My MBA qualification, provides me with priceless managerial skills as well as a professional outlook; it is human nature to confirm to risk avoiding behaviour but, when we need to make tough calls we must maintain the company's positive image. My varied roles have provided me with additional experience in project management and supervision of technical staff in carrying out the design of numerous types of railway structures. I have been nominated to become ICE Mentor role for Supervising Engineer and Delegate Engineer for quality graduate engineers for TfL employees. I have been carrying PND and Attribute reviews and continually helping to develop professionally guiding them through their ICE training scheme to achieve the Chartered ship status in the UK, as well as overseas Sri Lanka. In addition to the Chartered Professional Reviews, I have specialised for career appraisal route and I help the career appraisal candidates to mentoring and provide support to achieve their chartership status. In addition to that, I travelled to Sri Lanka, Pottuvil Village, where the 2004 Tsunami struck and destroyed roads, bridges and homes, killing almost people. I joined with the local community and helped to re-build the road and drainage systems and coordinated with NGO and the Japanese Volunteer Organisation (JICA)This was completed between June 2006 and December 2006.
