About Ashton Loone

With over ten years of experience within the hospitality industry, I have been able to develop and enhance various skills that I believe are important for any role. I am a self-driven, passionate, and motivated individual who thrives working under pressure and in fast-paced environments, and I love a good challenge and finding ways to solve them. Additionally, I am a fast learner and can easily adapt for whatever the situation calls for and I have a great attention to detail. I am able to work effectively and efficiently independently and within groups also, with or without supervision. I believe these are the qualities that have allowed me to progress to more senior positions with the businesses that I have worked. After taking a 2 year gap, changing my degree and majors multiple times, and studying part time while managing a local Launceston business, I graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2020 with a Bachelor of Business: Management and Human Resources. After this, and due to the global pandemic which halted various plans I had in place, I decided to further my education and study my Masters of Professional Accounting, specialising in Business Management. Throughout my undergrad I found myself enjoying the subjects that had an accounting and numbers focus - I have always excelled in areas where numbers and problem solving are involved which is why I made the choice to change my area of study. I am enjoying my studies for this degree, and wish to pursue employment opportunities that will allow me to grow the skills and knowledge that I have developed.
