About Ashton Olive

Recent graduate with BSME degree from Oklahoma State University in search of entry-level mechanical engineer position. Projects I have completed include designing aircraft able to achieve hypersonic air speeds, analyzing the viability of taking a residential home off-grid using photovoltaic cells or commercially available DIY wind turbine kits, and the design of large liquid storage vessels. For my capstone design project I worked with the Oklahoma Aquarium to analyze the current performance of filtration systems responsible for the upkeep of marine and freshwater environs and devise methods to increase pump-filter efficiency and lower associated power costs as well as exploring alternative means of reducing labor and material costs. My attention to detail and drive to achieve my goals has led to a successful 13+ year career in the service industry in addition to my educational successes. I am very comfortable working with a team, setting goals, and seeing projects through from beginning to end.
