Ashu is a a successful leader with over 3 decades of experience in Indian financial services and the global information services sector. She led several Indian and Global companies for over 17 years. She is currently the Founder & CEO of Colossa Ventures a unique investments ecosystem that powers women entreprenuers and 'WomenFirst' businesses with capital capability and confidence building. Colossa's first fund Colossa WomenFirst Fund aims to invest in category defining scalable businesses founded/ cofounded by women or where women are the main beneficiaries. Leadership for her is about creating a legacy and making a difference. She believes in the 4 Ps of purpose people passion and performance.The causes that she deeply cares about are affordable healthcare women empowerment and right to education for all. Ashu is an independant director on the Boards of Hindustan Unilever Limited Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited and the National Institute of Securities Market. She is also on the Advisory Board of Aseema Charitable Trust. She was the CEO and Managing Director of CRISIL Limited up until September 2021 and a member of the Global Operating Committee of S&P Global Inc. Under her leadership CRISIL consolidated its Ratings' leadership position in India launched several innovative products and services and established itself as a leading global provider of data analytics and solutions. Prior to joining CRISIL in 2015 Ashu was the CEO of L&T Investment Management Limited (AUM: $ 3.4 billion) and L&T Capital Markets Limited (AUM: $1.0 billion). From 2004 to 2012 she was Country Head and Managing Director of Fidelity's Indian Mutual Fund business which she set up and grew making it one of the top 10 equity funds in India. Ashu started her career as a product manager with Citibank India. She held several key positions across their Corporate and Investment Banking divisions and non-banking subsidiaries during her 15+ year career with them. Over the years Ashu has received several awards and has been recognised among the Top 50 Women in business in India and Asia. She is a Chartered Accountant and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from University of Mumbai.
