About Ashwin Kakarla

I am a Program Manager with 17+ years of experience working at Google. I lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects, plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. My projects span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's my job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines. My key strengths are in setting up and leading large in-house/outsourced project execution(2,500+ persons) increasing operational efficiencies by providing tooling solutions for a successful implementation of Machine learning programs. I work closely with multiple Engineering and Cross Product groups and provide tooling solutions to support them in Machine learning programs to meet their company wide OKRs. My focus areas also includes driving cross-office collaboration and resolving any site-related differences, thereby contributing to global company-wide planning processes that include budgeting, project prioritization, headcount planning, forecast management and variance analysis.
