I am a digital payments enthusiast with a strong background in Fintech Compliance and Risk Management. I spent the first few years of my career in banking and securities regulation, with an emphasis on Credit Risk in agribusiness and commodity sectors. Since then, I have been involved in fintech, primarily in merchant acquiring space where I have worn several hats as an individual contributor as well as leading a diverse range of specialist support teams focused on merchant services, dispute operations, complaint handling and social media. I then transitioned to the card issuing side of the industry, focusing on compliance, eKYC implementation, sanctions and watchlist management and operational process automation. As a people manager, I have both inherited existing teams as well as built new teams from scratch - including recruitment, training and process development. I have experience in dealing with complex human-resource-related situations and have managed various stages of the employee life-cycle.
