About Ashwin Shankar

A passionate entrepreneur and promoter of strong local ecosystems, I bring 20+ years of experience as an entrepreneur, technology, and business leader, driving technology-based transformation for startups and larger companies. I've worked with organizations in multiple markets, including North America, South Asia, ASEAN, etc. at startups and client organizations such as NYSERDA, CalTrans, NDTV, TCS, TimesInternet, PearsonEnglish, Chargebee, Pickyourtrail, as well as government-backed institutions in the US, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and New Zealand. Through my work at AtWorks, since 2014, I have worked with over 300 teams and 500 founders from India through their early stage journeys, targeting B2B and B2C solutions dealing with both domestic and global markets. From 2017, I've been actively involved in impact entrepreneurship initiatives and collaborative ecosystem building, partnering with organizations such as Climate-KIC in the EU, The Incubation Network from Singapore, Spring Activator in Canada, in working to improve the playing field for impact focused startups in Asia and across the world, to bring impact entrepreneurship into the mainstream, and improving their viability and success factors. I see my larger mission as ensuring the availability of high quality, affordable technology solutions to support impact ecosystems globally, by providing access to affordable and flexible tools and services to help impact entrepreneurs, small business and individual creators compete and thrive in an increasingly digital and globally connected world.
