As a Recruiting Specialist, I collaborate with the business to hire professionals coming from various career levels and background ranging from seasoned technologists to budding talents. Throughout my career, I have partnered with various teams working in Accounting, Finance, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Legal, Core Software R&D, Cloud, Hardware, Test Engineering, Go to Market, Advanced & Professional Services. As a talent acquisition professional, I strive to create a positive experience for job seekers by understanding their aspirations and enable finding a career fit of their choice. I'm especially inspired when I reminisce on the part that I was able to play in hiring for different groups over the years that has resulted in teams being established from the ground up. I also consider myself fortunate, as my profession allows me to touch base with distinct individuals on a daily basis which always keeps me eager to interact with more folks working on forward-looking and all kinds of technologies and trends in the software space. I engage in employer branding, collaborate with the hiring managers and other stakeholders to understand the business needs so that I can help make the right hire for the team. I also keep the hiring team apprised of the ever-changing landscape within the industry. I'm also a Diversity and Inclusion promoter, who wants to make the workplace (and, by extension, the world around me) as accessible and welcoming as possible, while learning and addressing my own shortcomings. In short, as a recruiter, I do one of the most important functions within the organization which directly results in accelerating the company's growth while being a medium in an individual job seeker's journey on career advancement. While I wear multiple hats as part of my profession, this aspect is even more evident during my off hours, as I make time to write, read, cook, workout and often immerse myself into various pop culture among other things. But all of this and everything else takes a back seat when I'm with my family and friends.
