Over 25 years of work experience in the software industry, including setting up and expanding software business. Held leadership position in the sale of healthcare informatics solutions in South Africa and South-east Asia. Most recently, lead the launch and stabilization of a 100-bed eye super-specialty hospital in Ludhiana (Punjab), as its CEO. 6 years as global head of business development for a high-end Hospital Information System Product company, with 140 deployments in 14 countries, now acquired by a global major. 4 years experience in various aspects of NGO working, including setting up a new organization in India. Was a Founder Director and then Executive Director / CEO of United Way International’s Bangalore chapter. Author of the global “Endowment Fund Initiative” of my school Mayo College, and its coordinator for Northern India. Presently an “Associate” (earlier a Trustee) of the Bangalore Environment Trust, and Advisor to Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE). Over 12 years of International Marketing, Business Development, and General Management experience, in the multi-cultural environments of Europe, Africa, and South East Asia. 10 years of studying, living, and working in different countries of Europe (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, and UK). An Honors graduate in Electronic Engineering and Physics from Loughborough University of Technology, England, with a Diploma in Industrial Studies. First degree in Science from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. Schooling from Mayo College, Ajmer, preceded by Welhams Preparatory School in Dehra Doon. An Indian national, born on 25th May 1958, married, fluent in English and Hindi. Have a “beginner’s level” proficiency in German and Italian, and am interested in sports, theatre, and traveling.
