About Asken Sinaga

Avoiding 'paralysis by analysis' mindset, I am a purpose-driven person who challenge status-quo for simpler and more doable solutions. I strongly believe that meaningful participation is critical for the success of development programs and organizational changes. And… depending on contexts, meaningful participations can be applied either through bottom-up or 'top-down' approaches. Designing and realizing meaningful participation is an art! I trust my team (and want them to keep being creative and innovative), therefore, avoid micro-management in my approaches. When I lead an organization, my ambition would be to make the organization a good place to learn, a good place to work and a good place to grow for the team and partners. At first, an initial impression of colleagues on my capability is that I am a generalist, enabling me to have a 'helicopter view' at works. However, after working together for a while, most of them said that I am actually a multi-specialist person.
