About Asma Amro

I am a human rights advocate and public international law academic. I care a bout building communities where everyone has access to equal rights and opportunities. I have more than ten years experience in delivering championing and transforming the rights and lives of courageous individuals and communities, via NGOs, non-profits and community-based organisations and academia. I am passionate about refugee having access to their rights during their stay in the host countries, more particularly children having access to right to education and health. My academic researches focus on international human rights, refugee rights, public international law, international relations, children rights, modern Islamic theories on human rights. My Ph.D thesis ( Beyond Compliance Theories: A Case Study of the Right to Education of Syrian Refugees in Jordan) examines the adequacy of the existing compliance theories in understanding state compliance behaviour with international human rights law.
