My name is Asma Naik, and I am a 4th year student at the University of Windsor, pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)- Business Administration. I am completing a specialization in Supply Chain & Business Analytics, a concentration in Marketing, along with a minor in Applied Information Technology.These past four years have helped me grow personally and professionally through the various roles I took up- volunteering positions at student clubs, work-from home setting, part-time/full-time work experiences, etc. Watching this journey come to an end makes me wonder what the next chapter would look like. I connected with so many talented people during my co-op positions at the Centre for Continuing Education, the Co-operative Education & Workplace Partnerships, both at the University of Windsor, as well as at Valiant TMS in Windsor. These are valuable connections that help you in the future.My responsibilities varied with different roles and included communications, marketing, maintaining confidentiality, designing online promotional material/content, working with different software and platforms, MS Office, Blackboard, Qualtrics, Hootsuite, Canva, SAP, etc. The initial work-from-home setting back in 2020 allowed me to work independently and spend time on research and development. All my professors, supervisors and co-workers have been super supportive and welcoming. Through these much-needed work experiences, I increased my social network and improved many skills. The co-op opportunity offers so much more than I ever expected. A little more about me - I am passionate about supply chain & marketing. I find myself interested and willing to learn more about supply chain- procurement, logistics, driving fork lifters, haha, and the creative side of marketing. The things I find common in both supply chain and marketing are research, communication skills, teamwork and collaboration, analytics, use of MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and understanding & meeting consumer/client needs/expectations. I am seeking full-time opportunities starting September 2022, to apply my knowledge, further develop my skills, and expand my work experience. In my free time, I discover online courses to enhance my knowledge in various areas of business.Bye now.
