Background
About Asmita Y.
I’m a sustainability professional who believes business must grow with the environment, not at its cost. Climate change is real, and I’m passionate about helping businesses act on it. Currently, I’m an Assistant Manager at UltraTech Cement (Aditya Birla Group), working with the AFR (Alternate Fuels and Raw Materials) Business Development team. My focus is on turning waste into fuel, while also boosting profitability for the UTCL plants. Prior to this, I worked with Brookfield Properties for my thesis project associated with MSc in Environmental Studies from TERI School of Advanced Studies. With a focus on decarbonization strategy, GHG inventory, and ESG frameworks for commercial real estate; I gained valuable experience and insights as an ESG and Sustainability intern. Additionally, I interned as a research analyst with the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), a leading policy think tank based in Delhi contributing to the Solid Waste Management team. Endlessly curious about sustainability, climate tech, photography, and anything & everything that keeps my brain buzzing :D Let’s connect!
