Experience • As a Country Director am overseeing the entire MEDA Ethiopia programs in three sectors, leading an SMT and a vibrant team of more than 40 staff, administering a budget of over 60m ETB annually for the Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar offices. I ensure effective M&E and Knowledge management programs planning, partnership, and representation of MEDA in Ethiopia: efficient utilization of project resources including budget from GAC for program invested in “business solutions for poverty” through Value Chain and business development services, and six of the SDG (no poverty, 0 Hunger, gender Equality, Environment and Climate Change resiliency, Decent Work, and partnership for development; ensure reports, compliance, and accountability. Currently engaged in successfully close out of the MEDA as an organization and EMERTA as a project. • Overseeing overall Ethiopia programs, performance management planning, budgeting, project design, donor relationship, M&E, and compliance and reporting. • Worked with donors like GAC, ANCP/DFAT, USAID, DFID, NORAD, and other private funds for development effectiveness and sustainable positive change especially for women, youth, and children. • Successfully managed agriculture (agribusiness development), education (all aspects), health (trachoma and MNCH), and livelihoods (pastoralist women IGA and restocking) programs; and M&E in different organizations. Established sub offices, staffed, organized. Am the best starter, accomplisher, and finisher. • Advocated Early childhood Development (ECD), Alternative basic Education (ABE), developed three modules for paraprofessional teachers’ training in the rural and pastoralist communities. Recently advocated A2F for agrifood business for enterprises with Buna bank. • Have exposures abroad for work, training workshop and program consultations, meetings in donor countries like GAC- Canada, HelpAge International- London, DFAT- Australia Sydney and many African countries including Kenya, Senegal, Rwanda, Tanzania, and many others.
