About Astha Agarwal

An experienced facilitator, self-leadership coach and youth development professional with a demonstrated history in leading impactful interventions for youth. Skilled in curriculum development, facilitation, public speaking, conflict resolution, coaching and mentoring and designing social change interventions. Passionate about working towards and with peace and harmony, social justice and youth leadership. Spent the last decade working at the grassroots to build leadership capacities of young people from diverse backgrounds in India, the UK, the US and Australia. Has designed and facilitated several interventions for leadership development, conflict transformation and cross-cultural exchanges during this time. She has coached several youth including social entrepreneurs who continue to lead impactful social change initiatives on ground. Has also spent this time strengthening her understanding of empathy, creating safe spaces, nurturing peace and harmony and healing our relationship with the nature and our bodies. She has particularly been interested in transforming negative images of the 'self' and 'other' as central to fostering peace, harmony and healing in the world. Has been exploring leadership development (as 'power with' instead of 'power over') and cross-border contact as ways to do so.
