About Astrid Fleisch

Being human means being responsible - also and above all for our children and grandchildren. I am convinced we need to adapt our way of life to make it sustainable. 🧮 To make this a success, the legal as well as the financial framework have to be right. For both law and money are means to an end which we can define, and which we must define responsibly. They are tools to shape our present and future. I am therefore passionate about working with GLS Bank, the world's first socioecological bank, and accompanying the financing of renewable energies from a legal point of view. At the same time, I am a constitutional lawyer. Keeping our constitution alive is essential for a future worth having. Democracy, human rights, the rule of law, the separation of powers - we cannot take any of that for granted. Let us defend it. I have substantial experience as a lawyer in both administrative and corporate law. Also, I have been a clerk at the German embassy in Morocco and a waitress in Paris, gathered grapes in Burgundy and tea in Assam, and, being a trained pastry chef, made desserts in Paris, New York, Berlin, southern India and southern France.
