About Astrid R.

Growing up I wanted to be many things - a teacher, a lawyer, a pilot, an Olympic athlete - but hospitality recruiter was never on my list. Hospitality was never on my radar, until I went on a trip overseas. I travelled to Greece and the tour guide was the greatest! She was helpful, energetic, knowledgeable and funny. It was then that I realized that I wanted to do the same; share my passion for cultures, help others and explore new places. Consequently, I pursued a degree in Hospitality & Tourism from Ryerson University and worked in various hospitality roles after graduating. However, after working in hospitality for 7 years, I decided to take a break and pursue another passion - teaching - while still travelling. So, I packed my bags and moved to Tokyo, Japan and taught English for two years. After having a valuable and unforgettable experience, I decided to return to Canada. It was then that I was introduced to KaB, where I can put all of my skills and my love of hospitality into one package. My goal is to find a candidate who is passionate about their role and hospitality and is willing to continue their career path alongside an outstanding luxury resort/hotel. In the past 3 years, I have met incredibly passionate people from all walks of life, and have placed various candidates with incredible companies. Outside my work hours you can catch me cuddling with my dog Hero, travelling, teaching English to children online and watching Netflix.
