Accounts are a jigsaw puzzle and I love picking up the pieces and finding where they all fit. Contracting enables me to continue doing this as I am free to move on once a client’s happy that everything’s in place. I get a kick out of doing the stuff that those with a day job often just don’t have the time to do. A qualified ACMA since 2006, I’ve worked as a permanent staff member through numerous mergers and acquisitions as well as departmental and company restructures and an IPO. I’ve worked in many industries and organisation sizes. I love getting stuck into sorting out processes and assisting with testing and rolling out new systems. Outside work I hike, camp, and provide event first aid services. I’m passionate about nutrition and the outdoors as a means for maintaining our health and happiness. I support participants on oodles of challenge walks, generally walking with them for around 50km. I've also organised multi-day treks (often with wild-camping) such as the GR20 in Corsica 2017, the Ridgeway Jun 2018, West Highland Way and Great Glen Way Jan 2019 (cold!), Hadrian’s Wall Path Sep 2019, the Pennine Way Sep 2020, so far 100 miles of the SW Coast Path (some of it solo) 2021-2022 and King Alfred's Way in 2022.
