About Aswin Raj

Hello, I am Aswin Raj, a Procurement and Supply Chain Management (SCM) professional with around seven years of experience. In my career so far, I have worked for three different organizations and gained diverse experience in Procurement and SCM. I started my career as an Analyst at Pallakki NDT Excellence Center, where I learned about stressed and time-bound scheduled quality checks of the material from the mechanical, production, and construction industries. I handled the division in ASNT Level 1 & Level 2 (UT, RT, PT, MPT) and gained insight into the metallurgical properties of different materials. Later, I moved to the Uralungal Labour Contract Society, During this time, I learned about cost estimation, material procurement, and ERP software. Currently, I am working as a Senior Engineer at ITD Cementation India Limited, where I am proficient in SAP MM module, supply chain management, and executed procurement activity like vendor management, negotiation, and finalization of purchase orders and logistics functions. My skills in relationship management, negotiation, time management, strategic thinking, adaptability, and risk management have made me a dynamic and goal-driven SCM professional. I can establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders. I can negotiate favourable terms and prices with suppliers, prioritize tasks effectively, plan for future scenarios, adapt to change, and identify and mitigate risks in the SCM process. I have a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from SNS College of Technology, Coimbatore, under Anna University Chennai, This education has provided me with the necessary skills to analyze complex supply chain problems and develop effective solutions. I have also gained knowledge in areas such as strategic sourcing, logistics, and inventory management. I am proficient in English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil, and I have experience working with SAP and ERP systems, Excel, MS Office & PowerPoint, and RDS-Inhouse ERP software. These are essential soft skills required for SCM professionals. In summary, I am a skilled SCM professional with a proven track record of success. With my experience, education, and skills, I am confident that I can take on challenging SCM roles and contribute to the success of any organization I work for.
