Background
About Aswin Ranjan
As a biomedical engineering aspirant for over 6 years, I am confident that my profile aligns well with the job requirements and I believe that my 4 years of experience in the biomedical field have equipped me with the necessary skills to excel in this role. After completing my diploma in Biomedical Engineering in India, I sought hands-on exposure to clinical environments. This led me to an internship at Sunrise Hospital, where I honed my skills in maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment. This experience helped me develop a deep understanding of equipment like patient monitors, infusion pumps, ECG machines, ventilators, and defibrillators. Upon completing my internship, I secured my first position as a Biomedical Technician at Ahalia Foundation Hospital. During my 4 years with Ahalia, I had the opportunity to work across multiple specialized hospitals, including Ahalia Eye Hospital, Ahalia Diabetes Hospital, Ahalia Ayurvedic Hospital, and Ahalia Women and Children Hospital. My role involved the maintenance, calibration, repair, and safety testing of a wide range of medical devices. I also managed biomedical equipment across 22+ Ahalia clinics in India, which gave me invaluable experience in troubleshooting and ensuring optimal equipment functionality. One of my key responsibilities was to ensure the continuous operation of critical medical equipment such as anaesthesia machines, infusion pumps, and surgical instruments, especially in high-pressure situations like operating theatres. I regularly performed preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and calibration tasks, ensuring that medical devices met safety standards and functioned without fail. This exposure to high-stakes environments allowed me to develop excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. After relocating to the UK to pursue higher studies, I completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which has expanded my technical knowledge and skills. Currently, I am on a Graduate Route Visa and am eager to apply my knowledge and experience in the UK healthcare sector. With my extensive experience, technical expertise, and passion for biomedical engineering, I am confident in my ability to manage responsibilities independently and effectively. I am ready to contribute positively to your team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard, with a focus on patient safety and equipment reliability.
