About Atanu Das

Currently I am working as the Asst. Manager cum R & MIS in Vikramshila Education Resource Society for the past 4 years. The primary objective of this project is to ensure quality education for the children. Having working in this organization, has equipped me with understanding of the society and practical knowledge about diversity in the social sector, and skills in programme implementations, monitoring and evaluation. Managing a team to run the project successfully, and catering to the needs of the children and the community as well as the organization has helped me sharpen my skills to take swift decisions, handling critical situations and set achievable goals and work towards it. I have completed my Bachelors as well as my Master’s in Social Work from Visva-Bharati University During my academic journey I have done fieldwork in rural community setting, school setting and in various government department like Block Development office, NYK and Hospital etc. and engaged with School going children specially adolescents, men, women and elderly population for working towards social issues, effective implementation of government schemes etc. Having field work experience in different communities, schools, NGOs and government departments and engaging with different people of different age groups like children, youths, adults and elderly from diverse linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds for the past 5 years. My advanced knowledge and understanding of the field of social sector and communities will benefit me to take up the said position, while my skills make me the best suitable person for the position to serve the goals and carry out the role required for the said position.
