About Athan Lee

As an aspiring architectural and interior designer, I seek to create sustainable living spaces for the community. Being the visual person that I am, model-making is the primary tool I use to construct and experiment on unconventional ideas and designs. Striving to be a versatile and adaptive designer, I aim to enhance the quality of life through creativity and innovation. Continuity and integration defines the basis of my design approach; which often revolves around simple, yet strong forms that are complimented by landscapes and greenery that aims to create an impact visually. My appreciation for nature is reflected in my designs that integrates landscapes with architecture in a way where they speak a common language and intent. Technical skills and softwares picked up during my course of study such as AutoCAD, Lumion, Google Sketchup and Manual Drafting are essential tools I use to convey design intentions and concepts. Being systematic further allows me to convey these ideas and drawings clearly and efficiently. As member of the National Police Cadet Corps and the Design Student Ambassador, orderliness and the ability to interact with people are values instilled deeply into my character. However, the value I hold to greatest importance to is optimism; as it allows me to manage setbacks as well as critics with a positive attitude. Other than architecture and landscapes, my interests includes food, photography, and urban hiking. Thus, cafe-hopping and exploration are things I seek enjoyment in; as they not only bring me away from the chaos of work life, but also provide opportunities for me to source for inspirations and ideas.
