I am a design expert with extensive experience in various types of stamping tools, such as progressive, stage, transfer, and tandem tools. I also design jigs, and fixtures, and checking gauges for different applications. My design skills include- Solid/Surface modelling and assembly design using SolidWorks/Creo- Drafting and creating 2D drawings using AutoCAD- Applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance, Tolerance Analysis, Material Selection, DFM, DFA, FMEA, and Value Engineering principles- Reviewing and correcting drawings for manufacturability- Ensuring accuracy of bill of materials and product costing. I am also an expert in sheet metal components, and I can create product designs with detailed drawings that consider stack-up tolerances. I have completed several reverse engineering and 2D to 3D data migration projects for sheet metal components. In addition to my design work, I have experience in project management and execution. I can- Create project-specific activity plans and process plans- Manage projects from start to finish and present progress to various internal departments- Implement cost-cutting plans for manufacturing and machining activities- Identify new vendors for machining work and monitor subcontractor operations- Work collaboratively with various departments and levels of staff- Track raw materials and standard items from purchase through assembly. I have a deep understanding of the manufacturing process of stamping tools, gauges, and fixtures, and I can- Analyze, correct, and troubleshoot faults during press tool manufacturing and production- Estimate machining hours and create machining drawings- Follow up with in-house and subcontractor machining activities- Assemble and maintain press tools, fixtures, and gauges- Use various measurement equipment and gauges proficiently.
