About Atreyee Sen

Having worked as an Assistant Director from 2011, in more than twenty films, I made a conscious decision to make a shift as a content creator in 2019. In my years as an Assistant Director and an Associate Director, I have been fortunate enough to work on some National Award winning regional films, few Bollywood films, shorts, and ad films, with some of the biggest names in the industry - Srijit Mukherji, Arindam Sil, Birsa Dasgupta, Onir, Aparna Sen, Gautam Ghose, Prasenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, Sushmita Sen, Kunal Khemu, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Anurag Kashyap, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Babul Supriyo, and the likes. My directorial debut was for an OTT platform, HOICHOI, for Bengal's first sitcom,'Gariahater Ganglords'. Being a 90s kid, I grew up in an era of music videos, ranging from boy bands to independent artists. This led me to explore that genre as well. It started out as an experiment with a few friends, which led to me directing many music videos for some leading artists and bands from Kolkata - Cactus, SixthVeda, Bharatvarsh, to name a few. I have also been working as a Guest Faculty at my Alma Mater, COMMITS, for the past couple of years, teaching young minds about the process of film making and conducting workshops with them. It is an honor to interact with young minds, the Future. It is a process I thoroughly enjoy! The world of entertainment and media is so vast and so impactful, it demands a professional in this Industry to be that much more responsible. My thirst for creating content that adds value to the society at large, is what made me shift role to a Creative Director.
