About Audrey Dewys

I've been working in the television industry since graduating from Rowan University in 1990. I began my career at a local station in Toms River, NJ where I started as a Production Assistant, eventually working my way up to Director/Producer of live to tape high school sports events. I also did some on air work as a reporter and anchor for a local crime show. In 1994 I began working at Madison Square Garden Network, and I while I took a step backwards and started over as a PA it was the best move I could have made professionally. It was a magical year at the Garden, as the Rangers won the Stanley Cup and the Knicks went to Game 7 of the NBA Finals and I had a ringside seat to all of it, getting paid to help put these games on the air. I joined the Director's Guild of America in 1997 and began my freelance career as an Associate Director and Stage Manager. I am the proud recipient of 10 Emmys, working as a Stage Manager on several Emmy award winning Yankees and Knicks shows. In 2002 the YES Network was formed to produce Yankee games, and I became the Stage Manager for all of the home games. My career is (mostly) year round sports production, I continue to work Knicks and Rangers games in the winter and the Yankees in the summer. In 2006, two monumental events happened in my life. My daughter Kalana was born, and my father passed away from complications to Alzheimer's. My dad was an amazing photographer, taking the craft to a creative level not often seen in the 70's-90's. In his memory, I began my journey as a photographer with my newborn as my muse, launching Audrey deWys Photography (audreydewys.com). Over the past 17 years, my photography has grown from newborn and family photography to events, volume sports photography-where I blend both of my careers into "sportraits" and architectural work. In 2019, I blended my family with my husband Charlie, I balance 4 teenagers and two careers.it is a bit crazy but I love it.
