I currently work at Labour Rights Law as a paralegal. Previously, I worked as a Case Manager and Paralegal for Martin Estate and Personal Injury Firm and Drysdale Bacon McStravick in personal injury and defence insurance. Previously, I worked as a Paralegal at Whitelaw Twining in the area of business insurance and litigation with a particular focus on various types of personal injury claims, including road maintenance and abuse litigation, as well as plaintiff injury litigation. Prior to Whitelaw Twining, I worked as a Paralegal for six years at a Plaintiff's personal injury firm, Jeffery & Calder. I independently managed over 100 files for one of the senior partners. I am well versed with the procedures of running a Plaintiff's claim from its inception to conclusion, including Part 7 Regulations, commencement of legal proceedings, document requests and production, drafting pleadings, court applications, settlement proposals and mediation summaries, instruction letters to experts to obtain medical legal opinion, preparation of Bill of Costs and assessment of costs hearing, and communicating with clients, adjusters and related parties. I has also worked as a Paralegal for 10 years in the area of Commercial Litigation, specializing in Franchise and Trade-marks-Intellectual Property. I assisted with document management and production, drafting and preparing franchise documents, lists of documents, pleadings and summary judgment court applications. In addition, I also had the opportunity to work briefly in family law and residential conveyance.
