About Audrey Harris-Culver

After attending film school at the University of Texas at Austin, I spent many years in Los Angeles writing screenplays while working in post-production with shows such as The Simpsons, Sex and the City, and SpongeBob SquarePants. I then relocated to New York to work at MTV Networks / Viacom, where I was the Supervisor of International Programming Operations, Content Management, and Strategy. There, my focus was to grow the slate of Comedy Central shows internationally as I worked with The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, and South Park, among many others. After nearly five years, I decided to step down from my position at MTV / Viacom to pursue freelance work while I finished writing my memoir, which was published in 2014. In 2015, I graduated from the School of Audio Engineering (SAE), Chicago, with a focus on post-production audio and music production. I continue to produce music as a hobby and on an occasional freelance basis, but much prefer to work in a team-oriented office environment. Who knew, right? After a two-year stint back in Los Angeles, where I worked in Localization and Subtitling for online streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and Movies Anywhere, I returned to NYC, jumping at the opportunity to work at The New School College of Performing Arts. And now, five years later, I have finally moved back home to Los Angeles to be closer to family and to plant roots, knowing that all my life and work experiences have prepared me to take on any and all new challenges.
