About Audrey Heber

As a recent graduate with bachelor’s of science degrees in Biology (neurobiology and physiology) and Psychology, I hope to expand upon and apply my understanding of how the body and mind function to contribute to high quality patient care. I am currently applying to medical school for the 2026 cycle with the hope of continuing to explore opportunities to further clinical care and research. I am fortunate to experience basic, industry and clinical research. Throughout undergrad I researched soluble expression of human ribosomal proteins first in a whole cell system and in developing a bacterial cell-free system. I also interned at AstraZeneca over a summer to support a vaccine pipeline program targeting respiratory viral pathogens. Finally, I interned with Georgetown University’s Memory Disorder Program where I supported clinical trials centered around patient representation and slowed progression of Alzheimer’s Disease. In clinical care, I have primarily worked in emergency medicine as a volunteer EMT (most active prior to undergrad) and a ER medical scribe. I am looking forward to exploring out-patient neurology as an MA during my gap year!
