I do things a little differently. There are things I love about the salon industry, like being able to be creative & work with my hands, and there are things that I don’t like, like the general lack of professionalism in the industry. I’m here to shake up and bring the same level of professionalism that you expect from your restaurant to the salon. I hate stripy chunky highlights. I know, hate is a strong word. But seriously, stripy chunky highlights hurt me, they make me want to cry or puke, maybe both, and I don’t know if I even know how to do them. I love where current hair color trends are, melty, blended, soft, pretty. Balayage is my jam, it makes my heart happy! I'm addicted to the internet. I remember the day I learned about Google, creepy I know, it was 1998 in case you wanted to know! The knowledge that's at my fingertips I adore. Hair color education, access to the top colorist in the world, and non-stop hair inspiration! Oh, don’t get me started on YouTube, yep I love it too. I’m obsessed with improvement, I maybe a little OCD with this one. It’s one of the reason I love Life Coaches and reading Biohacking blogs! What’s a Biohacking? Simply put, biohacking is the art and science of changing the environment around you and inside you so you have more control over your own biology. I geek out on science stuff! Hair color failures are consultation failures. There isn’t anything that's more important than your consultation, not just on your first visit, at every visit. The consultation is where we work together to lay the vision for your hair color future, decide what’s possible, talk about what’s not possible, look at your eye and skin tone, and chat about how are we going to get you to your goal. I promise you’ve never had another stylist ask you as many questions as I will. My dominate Strengths Finder theme: Strategic Thinking. Big isn't alway better. For years I worked in a big salon that was noisier than a bar on Friday night. I consistently juggled 2-3 client at a time. My assistant would see my clients more than I did. Although I’m a rockstar at multitasking, my artistry suffered and I hated it. This might surprise you, but I’m an introvert, my Myers Briggs INTJ. I love one-on-one communication and loath large groups. So a studio right for me!
