About Audrey Pons

Audrey Pons, BA, MEd, RRP, CCDP, RTWDM. Audrey is a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant with WorkSafeBC for 29+ years currently working with clients in the Mental Health Claims Unit and previously in Special Care Services assisting clients with Mental Health Issues, Acquired Head Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, & Traumatic Amputations. She facilitated successful Career Redirection/Job Search Programs, instructed the Chronic Pain Program, and trained Voc. Rehab Consultants and mentored UBC Grad students. She trained staff on the CMS computer system. Audrey instructed the Career Decision Making course at Douglas College and the Vocational Counselling course at Vancouver Community College. More recently, she is an Instructor for Basic Counselling Skills at VCC. She has over 39 years of experience in the Career Practitioner field, Audrey brings a wealth of experience and dedication to life-long learning to her students & clients. As the Founding President of ENET (formerly NETWERCC) 1991- 2009, she collaborated with a Board of Directors to ensure successful training days throughout BC. ENET become BC Career Development Association where she obtained her CCDP. After completing her MEd in Community Rehabilitation & Disability Studies, she was appointed Chairperson of the Advisory Board for the Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation Degree program at U of Calgary / Douglas College (2001- 2006). She was the Chairperson of VCC Advisory Committee (2012 -2017) for the Counselling Skills & Substance Abuse programs. She was a Board Member on the UBC External & Academic Advisory Committee for the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselling Master’s Degree program,(2011-2012) and was on the Open Learning Agency Advisory Committee for students with disabilities. AWARDS: BC Career Development Award of Excellence for Douglas College Career Development Practitioner Program, 2008 Netty Award from ENET for 17+ years of service to the association and the career development sector. Nominee for Career Practitioner of the Year 2011.
