Background

About Audrey Wolffe

I graduated in December 2013 with my M.A. in Peace & Justice from the University of San Diego’s Institute for Peace and Justice with focuses in non-profit management specifically in areas of post-conflict resolution, human rights advocacy, and humanitarian development; having already having a B.A. Psychology and B.A. International Relations with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from the University of San Diego in January 2011. In 2013 I also obtained my credential in Global Peace Education from the University of San Diego’s School of Leadership and Education and my certificate in Mediation from the National Conflict Resolution Center. During my graduate studies I interned with the United Nations Association of San Diego working on the Women’s Equity Council assisting the CEO & President, with the programing and marketing of events such as One Billion Rising, an international awareness campaign about sexual assault, the 16 Day Campaign, as well as smaller projects working with homeless female veterans’ rights, global girls’ education, and dialogues about CEDAW. I spent the past summer working as a project manager with RE-MEMBER a successful non-profit on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation whose objective is to highlight the historical conflicts between the Oglala Lakota nation and the federal government, while trying to educate visitors and build an inclusive community of Natives and non-Natives alike. In my final semester I worked on two theses, one for my masters degree the other for my credential, the first entitled “Just War, Theory, Jus Post Bellum, and the Rise of Just Peace: A Feminist Perspective” and the second “Education a tool for Assimilation: The Native American Boarding School Experience” while also gaining my certificate in Mediation which allowed me to intern with Kearny Mesa Small Claims Court co-facilitating mediations with senior mediators while also working in the school bookstore.
