About August Jones

I am a proud graduate of Simmons School of Social Work, receiving my Master of Social Work degree in 2015. Relocated to Georgia in 2020 and thrilled to be doing the clinical work I have dreamed of for many years! Prior to this position I was a proud employee of BayCove Human Services in Boston. Initially working in their elder services division and then working with individuals who live with mental illness and substance abuse. My main goal in any setting is to be of service to those I work with. I believe in promoting independence and pride myself on being a strong advocate. I enjoy building relationships with clients and colleagues as well as challenging systems that hinder and oppress those I serve. I provide supportive counseling and I enjoy facilitating groups. Linking clients with resources in order to enhance their well-being and advocating for them is important in my work. I am comfortable working with clients with normative issues as well as dual diagnoses. I am willing and able to work with a diverse population, and am experienced and comfortable with home visits.
