About August Sheldon

August Sheldon is a Project Manager with over 15 years of engineering/management experience, including the last ten+ years in British Columbia. August joined ISL after three years with Binnie (Burnaby), and five years with Kerr Wood Leidal Associates (Burnaby). He has experience managing various projects throughout BC. In addition to project management, August has experience with construction management and administration, engineering field review services, and wastewater treatment design. August's main focus is to provide excellent communication with both internal and external stakeholders, while delivering projects to his clients’ full satisfaction. Throughout August’s career in British Columbia, he has assisted with or managed over 30 infrastructure projects with both private and municipal organizations. With his experience in engineering design and field review, August has managed a wide range of projects including, but not limited to highway engineering, water and wastewater treatment, solid waste transfer facilities, and district energy systems. Currently with ISL, August is managing projects and providing quality of delivery, while preparing designs and contract specifications for water/wastewater infrastructure upgrade projects. August specializes in construction management and administration, engineering field reviews, and wastewater treatment designs. With Binnie, August managed multiple infrastructure projects for the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure within British Columbia. Two projects include the rehabilitation of highway crossings that were damaged by the Peace River flood event of 2016, and two other projects include improvements to the Alex Fraser Bridge in the Lower Mainland. While with KWL, August managed a site office in Prince Rupert to develop opportunities in the Coast Tsimshian area. He worked with representatives from the Lax Kw’alaams First Nation, City of Prince Rupert, Prince Rupert Port Authority, and liquefied natural gas proponents. In interior BC, August acted as the owner’s engineer for BC Hydro on the Mica Dam wastewater treatment facility upgrades.
