My name is Augusta, and I am a passionate science communicator! For the past 7+ years, I have been working with non-profit organizations and educational institutions to develop accessible content, build community engagement, and make real-world impact. My favourite part about being in communications is translating scientific information into digestible material for a range of platforms and audiences to spark awareness and drive behaviour change. I am currently working as a Program Manager for the TRANSFORM Heart Failure Strategic Initiative out of the University of Toronto and Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research. A large part of my job is coordinating the delivery of an NSERC CREATE funded training program I helped develop, called CaRDM Eq. Through technical training, professional skills development, and experiential opportunities, our team of 30+ collaborators is training the next generation of digital health innovators to design for equity!
