About Augustine Pasin

At 16, Augustine Pasin left his family and home in Chicago to pursue Chinese studies. He enrolled as the first Western student at a Shanghai boarding school where he helped his Chinese classmates write a school constitution, create the school’s first student council, and propose the “student voice” position to which he was later elected. He combined his passion for service and foreign cultures by co-founding an organization that tutors local Chinese university students in English. Augustine was named valedictorian of his graduating class. In 2017, Augustine was accepted and named a Hesburgh-Yusko scholar by the University of Notre Dame, At Notre Dame, Augustine aimed to improve cross-cultural and economic relations between the United States and China. Augustine also studied study German in Berlin and served as a philosophy research assistant at Heidelberg University. He graduated with a major in China Studies, a minor in Business-Economics, a 3.9 GPA, and Latin Honors. After graduating, Augustine was accepted into the prestigious Yenching Academy Masters of China Studies at Peking University in Beijing. There he explored the export of Chinese internet literature. Augustine graduated Magna Cum Laude from Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business with Master of Science in Finance. He currently works at PwC as an associate in the Cloud & Digital SAP Finance practice. Augustine has a passion for foreign languages and cultures that drives him to move to and explore international cities. He has lived and studied in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chicago, New York, Boston, Berlin, Vienna, and Heidelberg. He hopes to explore even more cities in the future.
