About Aulis Flod

I have always been a tech and science geek and wanted to know what makes things tick. Electronics has been a hobby of mine for decades. During my career I have worked on wide variety of tasks; from practical hands-on tasks, like building or fixing gadgets, to high level design tasks. I worked several years as a software developer and later leaned towards QA. Hence, I have a combined developer and QA person mindset. My interest towards quality is a lot broader than just software testing. What is quality and how do people see it. Development processes also interest me. I try to apply continouous improvement principles in work life as well as in my private life. Agility and flexibility are the ways to the future. My greatest and latest work life achievement is a test automation system for a hardware product. Conception, design and implementation (hardware and software) all by me. I'm very proud of that. I'm super interested in the new rise of AI with LLM's. I got interested in neural networks at 90s, when they weren't a thing yet. I use LLM based chatbots every day, and at my work I try to find out new ways to utilize these novel tools. I consider myself as a disciplined worker. I love teamwork and, if needed, helping other team members the best I can. At work, if the goals are clear, self management is not a problem for me. Also, thought-provoking discussions about work related topics are a real joy for me. References available upon request.
