About Aurora Leso

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Padua and a Master degree in Physics of the Fundamental Interactions. At the moment I'm a PhD student in UniFe, working at INFN-LNL. During my bachelor's studies, I actively contributed to the ISOLPHARM_EIRA experiment, which served as the foundation for my thesis. This endeavor was in line with my deep-rooted interest in the field of medical physics. Building upon this experience, I continued my collaboration with the ISOLPHARM project, specifically working on the ADMIRAL experiment for my master's thesis. In the course of this project, I was responsible for developing a range of simulations to study cellular DNA damage, utilizing the GEANT4-DNA software (C-based). Subsequently, I conducted rigorous validation of my simulation results through experiments conducted at the L.E.N.A. facility in Pavia. For my PhD research, I am conducting both in vivo and in vitro experiments using My in vitro work focuses on developing methodologies for experiments on 3D-printed scaffolds, while simultaneously performing tests on 2D cultures. I am an extremely curious individual, and this trait, combined with my strong determination, drives me to tackle any challenge with great seriousness. I excel in organization and time management, skills honed by balancing a wide array of hobbies that have always required me to adhere to a strict schedule. I enjoy exploring alternative solutions to problems, often seeking insights from colleagues outside my immediate field to gain a broader perspective and develop innovative strategies.
