About Austen Couvertier

I’m a PhD candidate in Quantum Physics at Stevens Institute of Technology, with a focus on simulating entanglement dynamics, modeling chaotic systems, and developing custom tools for quantum and semiclassical analysis. My research applies numerical methods, differential equations, and statistical reasoning to investigate how classical chaos and memory effects influence information transfer and system stability in open quantum systems. Throughout my research, I’ve developed reusable simulation libraries in Python and Mathematica to automate calculations such as Lyapunov spectra, Gaussian fidelity, and logarithmic negativity. These tools have supported peer-reviewed publications and collaborative work across physics and applied mathematics. Now transitioning into industry, I’m seeking roles in data science or quantitative modeling where I can apply my strengths in problem-solving, scientific computation, and data-driven analysis. I’m especially interested in opportunities that leverage modeling, simulation, or statistical methods to drive insight in technical or financial domains.
